Is Soundtrax music exempt from royalties from management companies (e.g. Ascap, Sacem, MCPS-PRS) ? Yes, all music on Soundtrax is royalty-free from all performing rights societies (e.g. ASCAP, GEMA, SABAM, SACEM, SESAC).
In what format will the music be sent ? In high-quality WAV format (24-bit 48 kHz) and MP3 format (320 kbps quality 24-bit 48 kHz)
How many productions can I use the trax I purchased in? The license allows you to sync the trax with an unlimited number of productions, for perpetuity, in accordance with the terms of the license.
Where can I find the metadata of the trax I download ? All information about the trax is provided in your license. The audio files are always provided in high-quality WAV format (24-bit 48 kHz) and MP3 format (320 kbps, 24-bit 48 kHz).
I have received a notice from YouTube indicating that the music I bought on Soundtrax belongs to a third party. What should I do about this ? All our music is 100% copyright-free Unfortunately, incorrect or false copyright claims are a known problem with YouTube and music libraries. The most effective response is simply to dispute the claim using your Soundtrax licence. The claim will then be dropped. You can find out more about how to make a dispute notification here. Please note that your Soundtrax licence does NOT authorise you to upload your project to YouTube's Content ID system. Soundtrax retains ownership of the recording. If you have any further questions about the YouTube complaints process, please contact us.
How are the trax sorted and categorized ? We reject any involvement of artificial intelligence, both in the creative process and in data organization. The classification of music and its associated filters is managed by audiovisual experts. Intuition and creativity are essential for accurately evaluating and categorizing music. Our specialized team thoroughly analyzes each trax, assessing its relevance, atmosphere, and mood to make your search as easy as possible.
What is a short trax, and what does SFX mean? A short trax is a music track lasting less than one minute. SFX, or sound effects, are audio elements added to audiovisual productions to enhance mood, emphasize actions, and create a more immersive experience, ranging from subtle texture to impactful, dynamic sounds.
Am I required to credit Soundtrax in my productions when using a trax? Yes, the Licensee agrees to include a credit line in their production each time the trax is used, as follows: "Trax Title, Composer Name, courtesy of www.soundtrax.io."
The above credit should, if possible, be displayed as a hyperlink to www.soundtrax.io.
How often is the music library updated? The Soundtrax library is regularly updated with new trax to ensure a fresh and diverse selection for your projects.
What payment methods are available, and how do I get my invoice ? You can easily pay on our website using PayPal or a credit card. After each payment, an invoice will be automatically emailed to you, and you'll also find a copy available in your account.
Are you experiencing payment problems ? If you receive an error message when you try to make payment for your subscription, we suggest that you follow the instructions indicated with the error message. You may see a message indicating that the details are incorrect. Please check your browser settings to ensure that your cache is cleared, then try again. In most cases, this is a processing error related to the communication between your card provider and our processor. Simply try again or use another card to make the payment. If your payment has been declined with a fraud alert, the processor has flagged it due to unusual activity. Once fraud has been detected, it cannot be reversed. Please use another payment method to finalise your account. It is possible that this error is occurring due to a foreign transaction block by your bank. Our company is based in France, and depending on where you are, this could be the reason why there is an error when you register with us. We suggest that you contact your bank or try registering using another payment method.
Can I change the information on my invoice ? When you fill in the invoice details during registration, your invoice is automatically created once payment has been made and is available to download to your account. To change or add information such as name, company name, address or VAT details, contact us with the information you would like to appear on the invoice, and you will receive your invoice within a few working days. * Please understand that we cannot change the payment details on the invoice and can only make changes to customer details.
My company needs an invoice before payment can be made. What can I do about this ? Invoices are created automatically once the subscription payment has been made. The payment invoice can then be viewed at any time from your account page. If your company requires documentation before signing up, please direct them to our Pricing page for details of subscription costs and conditions.
I work on behalf of a customer. Can I register the customer as a licence holder ? Yes, at the last stage of the order process, you can enter the licensee's address. In this case, your address will be set as the billing address and the customer's address will be set as the licensee's address. You can also pre-fill the details of your various customers in your account. Note: Your customer will not be informed of the purchase. Customer details only appear on the licence document, which is available to download. Furthermore, no price is indicated on this document.
Are there any extra charges after I've paid for my subscription or a trax ? No! Soundtrax does not charge or collect any additional fees. Additional charges on your bank statement may be related to ‘foreign bank transaction fees’ charged by the bank that issued your bank card (our company is based in France). These fees vary from 0% to 3%, depending on the bank card you use. For accounting purposes, these charges are considered to be bank service charges.
Do you offer refunds for subscriptions or purchases? We do not provide refunds for digital products or subscriptions, as all purchases are final.
Can I monetise my videos with Soundtrax licences ? Yes, you can monetise your videos with digital licences, extended licences and subscriptions. However, this is not possible with personal licences.
Where can I download my Soundtrax licenses ? You can download all your Soundtrax licenses in both French and English in PDF format directly from your account.

Does the licence cover use in an NFT ? Soundtrax licences do not include the use of elements in NFTs.
Can I use trax in a playlist? No, playlists are not covered by the license because standalone (audio only) use of music is not permitted.
Can I sing or rap to the music? No. The music cannot be used for musical projects (e.g. singing, rap, remixes, compilations, etc.).
Where can I check the number of license credits remaining in my subscription? You can view this information directly in your account dashboard.
How can I cancel my Max Trax subscription ? You can easily cancel your Max Trax subscription directly from your account page. Please note that if you choose to cancel, you will forfeit any remaining credits, and this action cannot be undone.
Can I renew my Max Trax subscription if I’ve used all my digital credits? You can re-subscribe one year after your original purchase date. In the meantime, you can still purchase single trax as needed.
Can I still use the trax I downloaded after my subscription expires? Yes, you can continue to use the trax in your projects, as long as it complies with the terms of your licenses.
Is it possible to buy a subscription as a gift? Certainly! You can give someone the opportunity to explore their creativity by registering an account using their name and email. After completing the payment, the recipient will receive a confirmation email.
Can I delete my Soundtrax account permanently? Yes, you can delete your account from your account page. Please be aware that this action is irreversible; all your data will be permanently removed, and your current subscription will be canceled. While you can still use any music for which you hold licenses under the terms of those licenses, you will no longer be able to download any trax.
